  • Remember AI offers a basic free version; premium features require a paid subscription.

1. About Us

Remember AI is a mobile application owned and operated by Lorelingo, a French SAS company registered under number 985 186 907 R.C.S. Paris, with its registered office at 78 Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Office 326, 75008 Paris, France.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Remember AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by email.

3. Account Registration

To use Remember AI, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Remember AI offers free and premium subscription plans. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device.

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings.
  • Refunds are handled according to the policies of the respective app store.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase of a subscription, in accordance with Articles L221-18 to L221-28 of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation).

However, by starting to use the premium features immediately upon subscription, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

  • You request that the supply of digital content begins immediately, before the withdrawal period expires;
  • You acknowledge that once the digital content has been fully provided, you lose your right of withdrawal (Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code).

If you have not accessed any premium features during the withdrawal period, you may exercise your right of withdrawal by contacting us through our contact page.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Remember AI, including text, voice recordings, and images ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Lorelingo a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your content for the following purposes:

  • Transmitting content to our AI processing partners (currently OpenAI) for transcription, extraction, and content generation;
  • Generating and delivering AI-powered features such as flashcards, quizzes, semantic search, and memory connections;
  • Producing anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the Service (no individual User Content is shared in identifiable form for analytics).

Your content is NOT used for AI model training — neither by Lorelingo nor by any of our sub-processors. This license terminates when you delete your account, and your User Content will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

6. AI-Powered Features and Third-Party Processing

Remember AI uses artificial intelligence to provide core features of the Service, including flashcard generation, spaced repetition quizzes, semantic memory connections, speech-to-text transcription, and image-to-text extraction.

Third-Party AI Processing

These AI features are currently provided by OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) acting as a data processor on our behalf. By using AI-powered features, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your User Content (text, audio, and images) is transmitted to OpenAI's API for processing;
  • OpenAI operates under a zero data retention policy for API usage — your content is not stored by OpenAI after processing;
  • Your data is not used to train OpenAI's or any other AI models;
  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies — it is provided as a learning aid and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information;
  • We may change our AI processing provider in the future, provided that any replacement offers equivalent or greater privacy protections and we update our Privacy Policy accordingly.

7. Prohibited Activities

When using Remember AI, you agree not to:

  • Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the application.
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, extract, or collect data from the app.
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of Lorelingo or any third party.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Remember AI, including but not limited to the app design, code, algorithms, AI models, graphics, logos, and content (excluding User Content), are the exclusive property of Lorelingo or its licensors. These terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Remember AI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Lorelingo does not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content, including flashcards and memory connections. These features are intended as learning aids and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information.

10. Force Majeure

Lorelingo shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, acts of government, internet or telecommunications failures, power outages, cyberattacks, pandemics, or disruptions to third-party services on which the Service relies.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lorelingo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of Remember AI.

For paid subscribers, Lorelingo's total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount of fees you have paid to Lorelingo in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Consumer Law Protections

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Lorelingo's liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Gross negligence or willful misconduct;
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable French or EU law.

This section does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under French and European Union law. Any clause found to be unfair within the meaning of Article L212-1 of the French Consumer Code shall be deemed unwritten.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Remember AI at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon account deletion or termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Specifically, your User Content will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.

You may request an export of your data before deleting your account by contacting us through our contact page.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

14. Dispute Resolution and Consumer Mediation

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first to seek an amicable resolution via our contact page.

Consumer Mediation

In accordance with Articles L611-1 to L616-3 of the French Consumer Code, if you are a consumer and your complaint has not been resolved satisfactorily, you have the right to refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator.

EU Online Dispute Resolution

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform to resolve disputes online: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

15. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Remember AI from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, the following additional terms apply:

  • These Terms of Use are between you and Lorelingo only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC (each, an "App Store Provider").
  • Lorelingo, not the App Store Provider, is solely responsible for Remember AI and its content.
  • The App Store Provider has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty services for Remember AI.
  • In the event of any failure of Remember AI to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the App Store Provider, and they may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App Store Provider has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • The App Store Provider is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Remember AI, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property infringement claims.
  • Apple Inc. and Google LLC, and their respective subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms of Use and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
